Rocky (in Japanese: ロッキー) is an enemy from The Revenge of Shinobi.

Rockys are muscular soldiers. They utilize a flamethrower, firing a stream of flames when the player gets in range. They're also tougher than regular enemies, requiring a few hits to be taken down.

Trivia[]

The Rockys were modeled entirely after the titular character from the Rambo movie series and named satirically after the Rocky film franchise.
In the second revision of the game the Rocky's sprite was changed into a bald muscleman, likely to remove the Rambo reference and avoid possible legal trouble.
While the manual artwork depicts the Rockys as shirtless their in-game sprites show them wearing a black tanktop.
