Metamorphomer's Spiderman form
Metamorphomer (in Japanese: メタモルフォーマー) is the sixth boss from The Revenge of Shinobi.
Details[]
The Metamorphomer is a mysterious shape-shifting ninja.
During the first part of the fight the boss moves on the ceiling, shooting three nets below to slow down the player and descending down to attack when the player passes below him. After taking some damage the boss transforms into a bat-like monster.
In this form he flies around and attacks by swooping down while also being aided by various bats.

Trivia[]
- In the original version of the game the Metamorphomer's first form is based on the Marvel character Spiderman, while the second form is based on the DC character Batman. Sega was able to obtain the rights to Spiderman's character but not for Batman, hence from the second revision of the game onwards his second form was changed to resemble the Go Nagai character Devilman. Since the Marvel license eventually expired, modern releases of the game have also replaced the Spiderman form with a nondescript pink ninja.
